S. V. Atalla is a poet and translator who lives in southern California. She received her Master's in Comparative Literature from the University of California, Lost Angeles, and currently translates contemporary Arabic literature. Her work has appeared in Prairie Schooner, Painted Bride, Passport, and Mediterraneans, and is forthcoming in several anthologies.
