P. H. Liotta received a Pushcart Prize, NEA fellowship, and the Winner Memorial Award from the Poetry Society of America for The Ruins of Athens: A Balkan Memoir. Recent travels have taken him back to former Yugoslavia and the Balkans, as well as throughout the Middle East, Central and Southwest Asia, and the former USSR. His work has been translated into Bulgarian, French, Greek, Japanese, Macedonian, Spanish, and Serbo-Croatian.
