Amparo Dávila

Born in 1928 in Zacatecas, Amparo Dávila is one of Mexico’s finest masters of the short story. Her collections of stories and poetry include Tiempo destrozado, Música concreta, and Árboles petrificados, for which she won the Xavier Villaurrutia Prize in 1977.
