Dorothy Potter Snyder is a writer and a passionate promoter of contemporary Hispanic women’s literature. She has published translations of prose by Mónica Lavín (Mexico) and Almudena Sánchez (Spain), and poetry by Oscar Jairo González Hernández (Colombia) and Juan Carlos Garvayo (Spain). She received her BA from Yale University and MFA in Creative Writing from Sewanee: The University of the South. A former New Yorker, she now lives in Hillsborough, NC.
