Join Us at the 2016 Bay Area Book Festival!

Jun 4–5, 2016

Downtown Berkeley

This event has already taken place.

The Center for the Art of Translation is proud to be one of the sponsors of the 2016 Bay Area Book Festival, June 4 & 5 in downtown Berkeley.

With more than 120 literary readings and events with 280 authors–including plenty of family events–plus a film and literature screening series in collaboration with the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive (BAMPFA), we’re expecting more than last year’s 50,000 people.

We’re excited to have been involved in bringing many international authors to the festival. Center Executive Director Michael Holtmann will be moderating two panel discussions!

Don’t miss “Confronting the Past: Time and Memory in Contemporary Fiction”, with Jean-Philippe Blongel, Pedro Carmon-Alvarez, Jonas Karlsson and Kjersti Annesdatter Skomsvold on Saturday June 4 at 11:30 am, and “The Art of Translation” panel on Sunday, June 5 at 11:45 am, featuring translators Katrina Dodson, Amara Lakhous, Jung Young-Moon, and Idra Novey.
Make sure to stop by our table on Literary Lane to buy Two Lines Press books, get special deals, and chat with staff!
