Burmese Author Khet Mar at the Asian Art Museum

Noted Burmese author and humanitarian Khet Mar reads from her fiction in conjunction with the Asian Art Museum’s exhibit, “Emerald Cities: Arts of Siam and Burma.” Mar, who spent time imprisoned by the Burmese government for supporting women’s rights, uses fiction to delve deeply into the political turmoil in her homeland.
