P&T Knitwear Books & Podcasts | 180 Orchard Street | New York, NY

This event has already taken place.

P&T Knitwear welcomes Jeremy Tiang for a benefit event in support of Yu & Me Books(opens in a new tab), to discuss their translation of Xu Zechen’s book Beijing Sprawl: a linked collection of stories of friendship, failure, and survival from one of “the most exciting and energized [writers] coming out of China now” (Paul French, New York Times bestselling and Edgar Award–winning author of Midnight in Peking).

Jeremy will be joined in conversation by YZ Chin, author of the novels Edge Case (a New York Times Editors’ Choice) and Though I Get Home (winner of the Louise Meriwether First Book Prize). After the talk, Jeremy will sign copies of their book.

Profits from all sales of Beijing Sprawl tied to this event will be donated to Yu & Me Books’ recovery fund(opens in a new tab) to aid their rebuilding efforts after last month’s devastating fire that destroyed the store and its entire inventory. If you’d like a signed copy of Beijing Sprawl and cannot attend in person, you can order using the “Buy the Book” button above or by phone (212) 546-7536 . You can offer additional support to the staff of Yu & Me Books through a direct donation to their GoFundMe campaign(opens in a new tab).
