Juan Goytisolo

Juan Goytisolo was born in Barcelona in 1931 and now lives in Marrakesh. A poet, essayist, and novelist, he founded the Turia group of writers opposed to Franco in 1951, and in 1956 he moved to Paris. He has published numerous novels, including Marks of Identity, Count Julian, Juan the Landless, and The Garden of Secrets, as well as two volumes of autobiography.
