Ryszard Krynicki

Ryszard Krynicki was born in 1943 to Polish parents in a labor camp in Sankt Valentin, Austria. A prominent figure since the 1960s, Krynicki has published ten volumes of poetry. He is also a distinguished publisher and translator of German-language poetry, including work by Paul Celan and Nelly Sachs.
