Claudio Rodríguez (1934–1999), considered part of the “Generation of the 50s,” is recognized for the uniqueness of his poetic expression and for the thematic, stylistic, and pilosophical unity of his body of work. He has won the most important awards for poetry in Spain, including the Adonais Prize, the National Poetry Prize, and the Reina Sofia Iberoamerican Poetry Award.
