Deborah Smith

Deborah Smith (@londonkoreanist) is a London-based translator of Korean literature. Her translation of The Vegetarian by Han Kang was published by Portobello Books in January 2015, and won the Booker Translation Prize in 2016; she has also translated two novels by Bae Suah, The Essayist’s Desk and The Low Hills of Seoul.
