A.E. (Alicia) Stallings is an American poet and translator who has lived in Athens, Greece, since 1999. She has published three books of poetry—Archaic Smile, which won the Richard Wilbur Award; Hapax; and Olives—and a verse translation of Lucretius’s The Nature of Things. She has received a translation grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, and fellowships from United States Artists, the Guggenheim Foundation, and the MacArthur Foundation.
