Daniel Kehlmann is a bestselling German-language author who completed his first novel while still a university student. He has published six novels and three collections of essays, as well as novellas, screenplays and plays. His novel Measuring the World (translated by Carol Brown Janeway) was the best selling novel in German since Patrick Süskind’s 1985 book Perfume and has been translated into more than 40 languages.
