Join us for the next meeting of the Contemporary Translated Works Book Group as we read and discuss Taiwan Travelogue by Yáng Shuāng-zǐ, translated by Lin King. Co-presented by Center for the Art of Translation, Mechanic’s Institute(opens in a new tab), and Folio: The Seattle Athenaeum(opens in a new tab), the Contemporary Translated Works Book Group is a monthly, member-led series featuring thought-provoking literary selections from around the world. This group meets online via Zoom at lunchtime (12:00-1:00 pm) on the third Wednesday of each month.

Book group participants will have the opportunity to nominate titles and lead us in a future discussion. We invite you to submit your suggestions via Google Forms (available starting March 19).
About the Contemporary Translated Works Book Group
Founded in March 2024, this book group delves into contemporary global literature translated into a variety of Englishes, fostering conversations about language, culture, and the art of translation.
