National Translation Month Event – A Community of Translators

The Homestead Backroom | 19th & Folsom | San Francisco, California

This event has already taken place.

Finding your people is the first step in following any passion. For translators, it’s just as important to meet those working around you and be inspired by them, as it is to hole up and get your work done.

Join us for a casual evening event to celebrate the art of translation and share translations-in-progress with a room full of other translators and lovers of international literature.

Katherine Silver, Carolyn Tipton, and Judy Halebsky will share recent or in-progress work and take part in an informal discussion with emerging and established translators.

All attendees, whether translators, writers, or readers, are encouraged to take part in a conversation about process, craft, and the hard work that goes into bringing great literature into English.

Editors from Two Lines Press will share short excerpts from the most recent issue of Two Lines, Issue 27, with issues available for sale.

Drinks, snacked, and great conversation guaranteed!
