This event has already taken place.

Third Place Books welcomes translator Eric Abrahamsen to our Ravenna store! Abrahamsen will be discussing Beijing Sprawl by renowned Chinese author Xu Zechen, which he co-translated with Jeremy Tiang. In these connected stories, Xu’s characters observe as others like them—workers, students, drifters, and the just plain unlucky—get by the best ways they know how: by jogging excessively, herding pigeons, building cars from scraps, and holding their friends close through the miasma of so-called progress. This event is free and open to the public. Registration is required in advance.(opens in a new tab)

This event will include a public signing and time for audience Q&A.
