Albert Waldinger

Albert Waldinger was a founding member of the Hebrew Department of the Defense Language Institute in Monterey and taught there until 2008. His interest in Yiddish spans from his dissertation on Abraham Cahan to articles on the translation of Yiddish literature into English and an anthology of Yiddish stories from the Lower East Side (Photo credit: The Monterey Herald).
