Canaan Morse

Canaan Morse is a literary translator and poet, currently pursuing a Ph.D in imperial Chinese literature at Harvard. His translations of poems by Yang Xiaobin, He Qifang, and several other poets have been published in Kenyon Review, The Baffler, Asymptoteand elsewhere. His translation of Ge Fei’s novel The Invisibility Cloak (NYRB Classics Series) won the 2014 Susan Sontag Award for Translation. Co-founder of Pathlight: New Chinese Writing, he co-edited the anthology We Agree on Nothing: New Writing from China, and currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of Books from Taiwan
