Charles Ross, a former Fulbright-Hays Scholar in Italy, is Professor of English and Chair of Comparative Literature at Purdue University. His books include the first-ever translation into English of Boiardo’s Orlando Innamorato, a verse translation of Statius’s Thebaid, The Custom of the Castle from Malory to Macbeth, and Elizabethan Literature and the Law of Fraudulent Conveyance: Sidney, Spenser, Shakespeare.
