Diana Der-Hovanessian

The late Diana Der-Hovanessian was Fulbright Professor of American poetry at Yerevan State University in 1944 and 1999. She won awards from the NEA, PSA, PEN-Columbia Translation Center, and the National Writer’s Union, and published work in American Scholar, The New York Times, Paris Review, and The Nation. She was the longtime president of the New England Poetry Club and taught university workshops in poetry, translation, and the poetry of human rights. She was the author of over 25 books of poetry and translations.
