Eavan Boland

Eavan Boland is a professor at Stanford University and a poet considered one of the foremost female voices in Irish literature. Her poetry is known for subverting traditional constructions of womanhood, as well as offering fresh perspectives on Irish history and mythology. The author and editor of numerous books of poetry, her poems have appeared in The Norton Anthology of Poetry, The Norton Introduction to Literature, the Penguin Anthology of Irish Verse, and others.
