Hadar Makov-Hasson is a graduate of Tel Aviv University (BA in Comparative Literature and Communications) and New York University (PhD in Hebrew Literature, Post-colonial and Gender Studies). She manages the Israeli literature department at the Agency, representing new and emerging authors and abroad. She has worked as an editor at Black Dog & Leventhal, a small New York publisher specializing in unique nonfiction and reference books. In Israel, she served as the literary editor of the English journal Modern Hebrew Literature, and as a reader for Matar Publishing House. Hadar is interested in literary fiction, culinary writing, cookbooks, and creative nonfiction in both Hebrew and English.
