Jon Fosse

Jon Fosse is a Norwegian author and playwright. Little known in the U.S., he is celebrated in Norway, has won every major literary prize there, and has had 900 of his productions staged in more than 40 languages. He is often compared to Samuel Beckett and Harold Pinter, and is known for his use of rhythm and silence. He was awarded the Nordic Council Literature Prize in 2015.
