Joyelle McSweeney

Joyelle McSweeney is co-founder of, a web-based journal featuring international writing and hybrid forms, and Action Books, a press that publishes poetry and books in translation. She has taught at the University of Notre Dame and the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. She has written numerous books of poetry, short stories, plays, and critical works, most recently Salamandrine: 8 Gothics (Tarpaulin Sky Press, 2012), Dead Youth, or, the Leaks (Litmus Press, 2014), and The Necropastoral: Poetry, Media, Occults (University of Michigan Poets on Poetry series, 2015).
