Katherine Sutton

Translator, Spanish
Katherine Sutton identifies as a Texas native and has resided almost half her life in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Being close to people of Mexican and U.S.-Mexican origin has allowed her to become attuned to Mexico-United States relations, each culture’s uniqueness and their commonalities, and immigration and discrimination issues. “Arandas” is her second translation of the Mexican author Luis Felipe Lomelí’s work, the first being “The Clouds.” (Photo credit: Courtesy of the author)
