Lina Meruane

Lina Meruane (born in 1970 in Chile) is the author of the short-story collection Las Infantas (1998) and the novels Póstuma (2000), Cercada (2000), Fruta podrida (2007), and Sangre en el ojo (2012), which was translated by by Megan McDowell as Seeing Red (2016). She has been awarded the Anna Seghers (2011) and Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz (2012) literary prizes as well as grants from the NEA (2010) and the Guggenheim Foundation (2004).
