Luis Cernuda

Luis Cernuda (1902–1963) was one of the stars of Spain’s much-celebrated Generation of 1927. Born and raised in Seville, he left Spain for Britain during the Spanish Civil War and remained in exile for the rest of his life. He was an important poet, a prolific critic, and a professor of literature.
