Luz Pichel

Luz Pichel was born in the Galician province of Pontevedra in 1947. In these poems, Pichel’s haptic experience of her home village fractures and multiplies inside what she calls a “forest of memory”; the poems that emerge portray not only a place but also a way of being in the world.
