Paola Masino

A versatile intellectual in twentieth-century Italian literary and artistic circles, Paola Masino (1908–1989) was a writer, translator, and journalist. In Paura (1946) and Il nobile gallo (1947), she depicts the brutality of war by blurring the line that separates the real from the surreal.
