Vitaly Chernetsky

A native of Odessa, Ukraine, Vitaly Chernetsky teaches Russian and Ukrainian literature and culture (film, theater, visual arts) at the University of Kansas. He received a PhD in Comparative Literature and Literary Theory at the University of Pennsylvania and has also taught at Columbia University and Miami University in Ohio. He co-edited the anthology Crossing Centuries: The New Generation in Russian Poetry (2000) and his transaltions from Russian and Ukrainian have appeared in numerous journals.
