A native of Bulgaria, Zoya Marincheva moved to the U.S. in 2000. Her academic background is in Bulgarian Philology and English, and her curiosity in global affairs has driven her into occasional forays into economics and law. A poet and successful literary translator, she is determined to make Bulgarian voices heard in the world. Her translations and original work, including book reviews, have appeared in both Bulgarian and U.S. publications, among them Two Lines, Washington Square Review, Zoland Poetry, Liternet, and in the anthology Thresholds. She is currently working on a collection of poetry and a book of nonfiction.
