Zsuzsa Takács

Author | Hungarian

Zsuzsa Takács (b. 1938) is the doyenne of contemporary Hungarian poetry, who started publishing in the early 1970s. Her spare and often intimately personal poetry and short prose addresses private and historical traumas, the impotence of language when faced with the suffering of the creature. She lives in Budapest. (Photo credit: Peti Péter)
