Get to know our guests with this…

Norma Cole is a poet, painter, and translator from French. Her most recent project is Actualities, a collaboration with painter Marina Adams.

Maxine Chernoff is a professor and Chair of the Creative Writing program at San Francisco State University and a 2013 NEA Fellow in poetry.

Gillian Conoley is the author of seven collections of poetry and her translations of Henri Michaux were collected in Thousand Times Broken: Three Books by Henri Michaux (2014). Her book Tall Stranger (1991) was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award.

Ani Gjika is an Albanian-born writer, literary translator, and poet. Her translation of Luljeta Lleshanaku’s Negative Space(opens in a new tab) is due in 2018 from Bloodaxe in the UK and New Directions in the US.

Lizzie Davis is a writer, editor at Coffee House Press, and translator from Spanish and Italian to English.
